We Need Your Help Turning Our Materials Into a Variety of Publications, Including Books, Consumer Guides, and Web Content

You have the chance to learn the secrets to effective direct response marketing while turning our massive amounts of intellectual property into books, reports, articles, newsletters, handouts, blog posts, and more. This is die-hard non-fiction with an eye towards sales copy-writing.

Who are we? We are an Atlanta, GA based injury law firm. We are great at what we do, in part, because we produce more consumer friendly information than any other law firm around. Our goal is to produce more content in more forms than any of our competitors and we need your help.

We are looking for a writer (or writers) who understands how to take others' materials and give them a voice. We have literally hundreds of topics and ideas that will be the raw material for your projects.

The person we hire will know what it means to meet deadlines and work independently. We would love to work with a young writer (though an experienced writer looking for a side job may be the perfect fit) who is motivated and wants to get some practical experience. In the process of working with our materials, you will end up absorbing vast amounts of information about business and marketing. This may be the stepping-stone to your own business, or it may just be a chance to build a MASSIVE portfolio.

In addition to being a great write, we'd like someone who has experience publishing materials online using WordPress and social media. Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization is a major plus, but we will teach the right person if they don't know. (Note: We firmly believe in hiring the RlGHT person for this job, not just the person with the most credentials. We like working with smart, motivated individuals who are eager to learn. And we know that the right person can absolutely be taught the right methods.)

One thing that is hard to teach is good writing. That is why, in addition to sending us your resume and a cover letter describing why you think you would be a good fit for this position, you will need to submit two examples of your work product as well.

OK, but how much money will I make with this "dream" job?"

So now we're at what you're looking for -- how much money will you make? We want to work with someone on a project-by-project basis. You would get paid for completing articles, reports, books, and other assignments. Payment would range from $20 for a news article, to up to several hundred dollars for a completed guide book. We would rather work with someone who is motivated to actually finish a project than pay someone an hourly rate to peck at their keyboard. This means you will have the chance to make more money the harder you work -- we're not putting up barriers and telling you that you can ONLY make XXX dollars per week on a 40-hour work week. If you complete projects, you get paid. And we have A LOT of material to work with, so there will always be new projects. Understand this: we want to make you happy with the money you are getting
paid and the interesting stuff you will write about.

Our current budget for this project is $20,000. You will be a contract worker, working on your time at your pace and responsible for your own taxes, etc.

You'll work from home (or the library, or wherever you best write) about 75% of the time, with 25% of the time being spent in the office to meet with us, discuss project statuses, and conduct any needed interviews. This part is important... we will have at least one weekly meeting in our Alpharetta office where we discuss the plan for the week; the short and long deliverables.

OK, here's how you apply. My email address is embedded with this ad. The only thing to send to this email address is your contact information and a note telling us when we can expect to receive your mailed package. Follow the writing directions above and, in addition, send us anything else you would like (writing samples would sound like a cool idea, but you never know!) and mail them to:

David Brauns
Brauns Law, PC
12600 Deerfield Parkway, Suite 100
Alpharetta, GA 30004

The deadline for the applications is February 27th though if the person we really like comes along sooner we may close this opening right then and there.
